END.O

Working towards better care for endometriosis.

Part of my mission as an osteopath is to raise awareness about Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a disease where endometrial cells are found outside the uterus. This can cause severe pelvic pain, infertility, painful intercourse, and painful periods.  One in ten women suffer from this debilitating disease and sadly it takes close to a decade for women to get a diagnosis.
Each year in March, Endometriosis awareness month, I conduct a fundraiser or awareness campaign called END-O. My goal is to spread awareness and collect funds for Canadian organizations that conduct research or support women with endometriosis.
In the past, I have conducted fundraisers selling merchandise. An organization I believe in is The Endometriosis Network Canada. An organization that promotes awareness while providing education, support and resources for people with endometriosis and those whose lives it touches.
